Easter card

I made this card for my FIL for Easter. I wanted to try making a "ruffle" on the card with the Tim Holtz tissue tape. It was pretty easy and I really liked how it came out. the other supplies I used are: Tim Holtz & Stampin' Up stamps, 7 Gypsies and Tim Holtz tissue tape, A coffee filter flower I made from a Pickly Pear die and Glimmer Mist, A couple punches from Stampin' Up, Ink form Tim Holtz and bling from somewhere.

'Welcome Baby' banner

I made this 'Welcome Baby' banner for a coworker's baby shower we were having for her. I cut everything with my Cricut. I made this in 2010 so I can't remember which cartridge I used. Going forward I'll start keeping track of this kind of thing.

Another Big Junkie cut file

This cut file came from Bug Junkie too. It's the same piece of furniture that the kitchen layout used but this one is finished to be more for a baby's room. I made some changes to make it my own, like adding some books. I can't image a room without books so I pulled out my paper snips from Stampin' Up and  just cut a few out and added them to the shelf.

A Bug Junkie cut file- Family ...Remember the comforts of Home

This layout took me about 19 hours from start to finish. These aren't the final pictures becasue I had to purchase another cartridge to make the teacups for the top shelf of the pantry. I finished the layout but didn't take a picture of the final product yet. These pages were made from a cut file I bought from Lisa at Bug Junkie. She is so talented. She has some seriously elaborate pages and boy does she know her way around the gypsy and cricut machines. This was the very first cut file I ever bought and actually made. Thankfully her instructions were really good so I didn't have any problems. I'll post another layout soon showing a different design of Lisa's that I cut on my cricut and put together.

Simple pages

I saw this technique done on a card and I loved it's simplicity so I made a two page layout. I wish I could remember which site I saw it on so that I could give them credit.

My craft room as it was set up in 2010.

I love to organize. I must change my craft room around a couple times a year. I don't move furniture around too much but I am always trying new ways to arrange my supplies to make it easy to get to and easy to put away. I have a hard time creating when I'm knee deep in paper scraps. This is what my craft room looked like in September of 2010. Since then I've purchased some convenient storage for my pens and updated the decorations a bit. I'll eventually get around to posting that but in the meantime here are some pictures of my favorite room in the house. Is it obvious I love to use my label maker?

My stamp sets. My Mom has been remounting all of my wood mounted stamps to vinyl cling for me. It saves so much space.

My grandpa made the bookcases that hold my cricut cartridges.

It's a mini album kit.....

I bought this wonderful kit at www.CreationswithChristina.com. When she posted one she made for her sister I had to order the kit to make a mini for my Nana. I am usually really bad about buying supplies, kits, stamps and lots of other fun crafty type stuff, organizing it into my craft room and then forgetting about it. That was not the case with this kit. I bought it and that weekend I started working on it. It took me several hours to get to this point. I plan to use the black satin ribbon she provided in her kit to hold it all together but while I was working on it and taking pictures I used this silver ring. I love the style of the papers and thought everything really went well with pictures of my Nana from the 1950's.
